Snook EcoAnalytics provides scientifically rigorous aquatic ecosystem assessment and environmental data analysis services across the region. Founded by aquatic ecologist Erin Snook, the firm integrates field-based biological monitoring with advanced quantitative analysis to support regulatory compliance, restoration evaluation, and resource management decisions.
As a field ecologist and educator with 15 years of experience, including a background in federal contracting for the U.S. Geological Survey (Eastern Ecological Center) and teaching Stream Ecology and Aquatic Entomology at Shepherd University, our founder holds a Master’s degree in Marine Sciences and Technology from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. Through this firm, Erin is committed to translating complex ecological data into clear, practical guidance for agencies, conservation partners, and private landowners.

James Snook
James is a fisheries biologist in Washington State. He brings extensive knowledge of aquatic ecosystems and experience in fish habitat, spawning, and population surveys as well as reintroduction and restoration projects. He has worked with fish species on the east and west coasts for federal and state agencies and non-profits.
Joshua Snook
Josh is a biologist and researcher at the Michigan State University for the Department of Entomology. He brings an in-depth understanding of invasive insects and plants. He has worked on projects involving forest management, urban tree management, endangered salmonids, tropical plant-insect interactions, harlequin duck breeding surveys, urban red-tailed hawks, golden eagle banding, and sage grouse habitat restoration.
Cory Snook
Cory is a biologist and naturalist guide in Juneau Alaska. He earned a B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. His work includes photographic identification and tracking of large marine mammals, bat surveys, small mammal studies, and stream habitat and fisheries surveys. He has experience contracting for state and federal agencies for research and monitoring projects.
